Party of Five explores the lives of the Salingers, five brothers and sisters determined to stay together following the tragic loss of their parents. Matthew Fox portrays Charlie Salinger, the family's 29-year-old legal guardian.
Named one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People, Fox comes to "Party of Five" by way of film and television. He has guest starred on several primetime series and continues to further his craft by participating in such distinguished programs as Robert Redford's Sundance Film Lab.
In addition to earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Columbia University in New York, Fox spent four years as a wide receiver on the University's football team.
Raised on his family's ranch in Crowheart, WY, Fox developed an early interest in sports and the outdoors. He began horseback riding at the age of six and currently enjoys fly fishing, basketball and camping.
Scott Wolf portrays Bailey Salinger, the 20-year-old who takesover the family restaurant, Salingers'.
Wolf currently finds himself in the enviable position of balancing his role on "Party of Five" with prestigious roles on stage and in film. He recently completed a starring role in Sony's "Go," and other feature films include "Evening Star" with Shirley MacLaine, Jack Nicholson and Juliette Lewis, "White Squall" with Jeff Bridges, "Double Dragon" and "Teenage Bonnie and Klepto Clyde." On stage, he has appeared at The Williamstown Theatre Festival in the production of "Dead End."
Born and raised in New Jersey, Scott was an athlete in love with the movies who dreamed of acting but never dared to consider it as a possible career. An old friend of his father, a former actor, encouraged Wolf consider the acting as a career. After finishing school, Wolf enrolled at HB Studio in New York and decided to move west. He continued his studies in California with Robert Carnegie and Jeff Goldblum at Playhouse West.
Wolf landed the first job he ever auditioned for and has continued to work steadily. He went from commercials to guest spots on television shows such as "Parker Lewis Can't Lose," "The Trials of Rosie O'Neill" and "The Commish." He landed recurring roles on the series "Saved by the Bell" and "Evening Shade;" appeared in "Kids Incorporated" and "Down Home;" and played the lead in the NBC pilot "Yesterday Today."
Wolf currently resides in Los Angeles. During his limited free time, you can find him playing baseball or hockey.
Neve Campbell portrays scholarly, but rebellious, Julia Salinger.
Campbell's film career continues to thrive, having starred in the back-to-back Blockbusters "Scream" and "Scream 2" for director Wes Craven. For her work in the original film, she received a Saturn Award as "Best Actress." For the sequel, she was honored with both a Blockbuster Award and an MTV Movie Award as "Best Actress." Most recently, she starred opposite Matt Dillon and Kevin Bacon in "Wild Things."
Upcoming projects for Campbell include the seventies ensemble drama "54," as well as providing the voice of Simba's mate 'Kiara' in Disney's video sequel, "Simba's Pride: The Lion King II." She will be seen next spring in the romantic comedy "Three to Tango."
A native of Canada, Campbell made her debut in the Toronto production of Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Phantom of the Opera." She went on to star in the telefilm "The Canterville Ghost" opposite Patrick Stewart, "I Know My Son is Alive" and the syndicated series "Catwalk" before being cast in the film "The Craft."

Lacey Chabert portrays 15-year-old violin prodigy, Claudia Salinger, who, along with her brothers and sister, takes on dult responsibilities in an attempt to keep her family together.
Chabert recently made an impressive feature film debut opposite William Hurt, Mimi Rogers and Gary Oldham in "Lost in Space." An accomplished actress, Lacey has performed many lead voice-overs for major animated feature film projects, most recently, the Academy Award-nominated short film "Redux Riding Hood." She will next star as Eliza Thornberry in Nickelodeon's upcoming animated metime-series "The Wild Thornberries."
Chabert's entre to show business began during a family vacation to New York which turned into years of non-stop commercial and voice-over work. In addition to recording hundreds of television jingles, she originated the role of Bianca, Erica Kane's daughter, in the daytime drama "All My Children." She left her stint on "All My Children," after winning the part of 'young Cosette' in the Broadway production of "Les Miserables," a role she played for two years. Chabert also portrayed the role of 'Baby June' in the CBS motion picture-for-television "Gypsy," starring Bette Midler.
Born in Purvis, MS, Lacey lives in Los Angeles with her parents, two older sisters and younger brother.
Jennifer Love Hewitt portrays Sarah Reeves, Bailey's long-suffering girlfriend.
Born in Waco, Texas, and raised in nearby Killeen, Hewitt has had show business in her blood since an early age. At the age of nine, she became a member of the Texas Show Team accompanying the troupe on a special goodwill performance tour of Russia. And at age ten, after moving to Los Angeles, she began appearing in commercials and was featured in the national print campaign for LA Gear with Michael Jordan. She was a series regular on "McKenna," "The Byrds of Paradise," "Shaky Ground" and "Kids, Incorporated."
Her feature films include the hit thriller "I Know What You Did Last Summer," "Can't Hardly Wait," "House Arrest" and "Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit."
Upcoming films include "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" and "The Suburbans." She will also executive produce and star in the romantic comedy "Cupid's Love," which is based on her original idea.
Hewitt is also an accomplished singer and her first album Love Songs was released in 1992. Her second album Let's Go Bang was completed just prior to her being cast on "Party of Five," and her latest album, Jennifer Love Hewitt, was released in September of '96.
Hewitt lives in Los Angeles with her mother and two cats Haylie and Don Juan DeMarco (named after her favorite movie).
Jeremy London portrays Griffin, Julia's trusting and independent husband.
Recently, he completed filming opposite Beau Bridges and Martha Plimpton in the Showtime Original Film "The Defenders," one of the series of highly successful "Defender" films for the cable channel.
After making his debut in the television movie "In Broad Daylight," London first made a name for himself by starring in the acclaimed series "I'll Fly Away."
Additional television credits include the telefilms "A Mother's Wish," "The Lemon Grove," "Seduction in Travis County," and the recent "Bad to the Bone," as well as a starring role in the mini-series, "Angel Falls."
London's other feature film credits include "Mallrats," "Levitation," and "The Babysitter" opposite Alicia Silverstone.

Jacob Smith debuts this year as the youngest Salinger, Owen.
Born January 21, 1990 in Monrovia, California, Smith began his busy career acting in television commercials at the age of four. He soon found roles in television and feature films. Among his television credits are guest-star roles on "Walker, Texas Ranger" and "Step By Step," a recurring role on "General Hospital" and co-star roles on "High Incident" and "Meego," co-starring with Bronson Pinchot.
His feature film credits include the recent summer release "Small Soldiers," as well as "Dizzyland" and the independent "Nowhere to Go."
In his spare time, Smith loves swimming, skateboarding, tumbling as well as such sports as baseball, basketball and soccer. He lives with his mother and father, as well as his 17-year-old sister Natasha and 14-year old brother Nathanael.
